Outreach Program and Coach True Program During the 2015 World Taekwondo Championships

2015 Outreach programDuring the 2015 World Taekwondo Championships in Chelyabinsk, Russia, two activities of Outreach program for athletes and Coach True program for Coaches were jointly held. At the outreach program, a team composed of two anti-doping experts and WTF Staffs delivered the program. The program was held in a highly visible location during the event to maximize participation. The Outreach Team interacted with athletes and their support personnel who visited the Outreach Center, providing one-on-one discussion about the dangers and consequences of doping.

 

OUTREACH PROGRAM:

 

WTF’s Athlete Outreach Program and Coach True Program were carried out by the RUSADA with huge success at the 2015 World Taekwondo Championships in Chelyabinsk, Russia on May 13-16, 2015. This program enabled the coaches, entourages and athletes to get updated with the information on Anti-doping and the Say No! to doping. This is the fourth edition of the outreach program and third edition of coach true program organized by the WTF.

 

PROGRAM:

 

Concurrently with the 2015 World Taekwondo Championships in Chelyabinsk, Russia, two activities of Outreach program for athletes and Coach True program for Coaches were jointly held. The program was held in a highly visible location during the event in order to maximize participation. The Outreach Team interacted with 140 athletes, coaches and medical personnel representing more than 45 participating countries. The RUSADA experts providing one-on-one discussion about the dangers and consequences of doping.

 

FUN:

 

Athletes and coaches visiting the center played interactive computer games that allowed them to test their knowledge about anti-doping. They enjoyed the visit to our center because the program was designed to be both informative and fun with interactions. A quiz about anti-doping, available in numerous languages, allowed participants to test their knowledge on anti-doping and be rewarded for their efforts. During this four days of anti-doping activities also WTF RTP athletes was educated for ADAMS whereabouts programs. Athletes were also encouraged to take anti-doping education materials back home, available in a multitude of languages and all participants received RUSADA & WTF gadgets and pins.
