Most sports have its own equipment to protect players from injuries and to enhance playing conditions. In baseball it is the baseball glove which gives protection for player’s palms and fingers. The heavily padded glove for the catchers help them to face extra momentum. For first batsmen it should be heavily padded since he has to face hard throws. The extra surface of an out fielder’s glove give them better chance to catch the ball from a distance. For the busy inner fielders a relatively smaller glove is used. A professional baseball glove would be up to 12 inches in size and often comes in leather and synthetic. But in some instances they are made of buffalo skin, pig skin and also kangaroo skin which are understandably expensive. For a beginner starting off his baseball career, cheaper synthetic gloves is much suitable. Although all these types of gloves are manufactured, mostly leather is the favorite choice whether it is a beginner or a professional player. Wool is sometimes used for the inner pad of the glove to give better comfort.
